How to win demolition derby in flatout 2

Flatout 2 is a video game developed by Bugbear entertainment, and a sequel to Flatout. The tire grip on this game has been changed so it is grips more in tight turns.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

1. Turn on your computer or game console to where the game is about to start. Make sure that all your equipment is right, your joysticks connected properly. Get a good position to be able to see the screen and then turn the game on. Choose a good strong car for yourself with strength and a lot of maneuverability.
2. Judge what the strengths and weaknesses are of your opponents. This is required as you should know what you are dealing with. Drive your car around for a bit to scan them while keeping an eye out at the contact meter. The contact meter will tell you how much time you have left before you have to hit someone.
3. Deal with the bullies. These are the strong cars you wish to destroy to win, like Frank Malcov's car. Do not hit him head on and try to get him out. The red and orange cars need to be dealt with by hitting them head on and destroying them. These are a sure thing to get out if you do this.
4. Employ other strategies. Try to stay at the border of the game and drive really fast. Other cars will follow and if you can, slam them out. Always keep a watch at the contact timer or else you will be timed out prematurely. It is better to go out with a bang than a whimper. You are here to win and that should be the only thing on your mind.
5. Use Nitrous. When you slam other cars just before you do, use a burst of nitrous. This will give you the edge as well as getting you more points to boot. Keep Nitrous only for when you need it. If you waste it in situations it is not required it will run out and be unnecessary.
6. Stay focused. Try to stay focused on what you are doing. Do not take your eyes off the game for any reason. Whether anyone tries to distract you or outside forces come into play, keep your eye on the cars at all times.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not allow the contact timer to get you. It will take its toll.
• When it is time to pick a car, pick the one with the most strength and one that is the most durable.
• Always hit cars head on if they are not too strong, they will go out.
• Use Nitrous when slamming other cars head on. You will not only put them out, but you will get a bonus.
• Be careful of drivers like Frank Malcov, as he can get you out.
• If you take on a large group at once, you will be beaten.
