How to Make an Elegant Orange Dessert
The art of elegance takes only a little bit of time and attention to the smallest of details. With the right eye and an active imagination, an elegant orange dessert can come straight from the pantry in only a few minutes. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 4 wine glasses or champagne flutes
- 1 8 oz. can Mandarin orange segments
- 1 orange
- 1 tbs. orange extract
- 1 tsp. cocoa
- 1 tsp. powdered sugar
- 1 16 oz. chocolate bar
- 1 8 oz. container frozen whipped topping, thawed (such as Cool Whip)

Prepare the work area. Make sure you have all of your ingredients ready and available.

Flavor the frozen whipped topping. Add orange extract to the whipped topping and stir thoroughly.

Assemble the glass. Place one spoonful of whipped topping into the glass. Add enough mandarin orange slices to line the outer edge of the glass. After making one ring, add whipped topping to the top of the first ring of oranges.

Mix cocoa and powdered sugar. Sprinkle some of this on top of the first layer and add 1 square of chocolate bar.

Continue to repeat these layers until the top of the glass is reached.

Top for elegance. On the top of the final layer, shave some orange zest from the outside of the orange, sprinkle lightly with the cocoa mixture and lay a chocolate segment on top of the dessert. Enjoy!
