Purse from a pair of pants
-
1
Cut off each pant leg evenly. The cut should be straight across forming a straight edge, just above the crotch. Keep the cut off pant legs for a later step.
-
2
Turn the pants inside out and glue the bottom (the area that you just cut) together with your hot glue.
-
-
3
Turn the pants back to the right side, and place your fabric inside. Use your hot glue gun to attach the fabric around the inside of the purse to serve as your lining.
-
4
Make the handles: The pant legs that you cut off can now be used to make the handles for your purse. Cut the handles to your desired length and width. Remember to cut them wider than necessary, to make a seam.
-
5
Turn each handle inside out, fold in half and glue one side together. When dry, turn them back to their good sides. It may be necessary to use a knitting needle to help push the fabricl back to the right side.
-
6
Using the glue, attach your handles to the inside of your purse, preferably within the waistband area.
-
7
Embellish the purse by using rhinestones, patches, gems, or other items that you find appealing.
