1. In Maryland it is almost impossible for a non-resident
   to obtain a permit. You must show cause with police reports and other records that you need one for a very good reason, which seems to be for your protection against a particular person. If you just want to carry one, it's even harder.
2. If you go to the web site http://www.mdsp.org/ you can read up on the requirements. If you want to go directly to the information, go to http://www.mdsp.org/downloads/Licensing_Faq.pdf. I will attach the link below.
3. To fill out an application, download http://www.mdsp.org/Downloads/Licensing_Application.pdf and send it in to Maryland State Police, Licensing Division, Handgun
   Permit Unit 1111 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208.
4. You can access the Federal requirements through www.atf.gov and
   conduct a search for “27 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 178” and then
   look for “Transportation of Firearms.”

• Do your homework and fill out the appropriate papers and follow all of the guidelines.
• Don't lie on any of the forms and try to hide past convictions, etc.
• Illegally carrying a concealed gun has huge consequences. Be aware of them before you bypass the appropriate steps to legally carry a gun.
