How to Find Out When IRS Paper (Stimulus) Rebate Checks Are Being Mailed Out

All of the direct deposit payments have been made. If you have not gotten you payment, you are one of the unlucky filers who is getting a paper check. Those filers that did not e-file will get their rebate check by "snail mail".

Things You’ll Need:

• the last two social security numbers of the main filer and 2007 tax return

1. You must have the last two social security numbers of the main filer. Remember if you are married, it must the first one listed on the tax return. There have been a lot of people confused about this.
2. Look at the schedule below to determine when your checks is going to be put in the mail.
   
   Last two SSN digits: Payments will mailed out on
   00 through 09 May 16
   10 through 18 May 23
   19 through 25 May 30
   26 through 38 June 6
   39 through 51 June 13
   52 through 63 June 20
   64 through 75 June 27
   76 through 87 July 4
   (*federal holiday,mail is not delivered)
   88 through 99 July 11
3. If you do not receive your check a week after the above dates and you believe you should have received one, please contact the IRS at 1-866-234-2942.

Tips & Warnings

• From the IRS WEBSITE: A small percentage of tax returns will require additional time to process and to compute a stimulus payment amount. For these returns, stimulus payments may not be issued in accordance with the schedule above, even if the tax return was processed by April 15.
