Take Precautions When Exposed To The Sun

This Will Tell You Many Ways To Protect Yourself When Exposed To The Sun's UVA Rays.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Protective and/or Moisturizer Lotion
  1. Step 1

*Always wear a moisturizer or protective lotion with a sunscreen of at least SPF 15 on ALL areas of potential exposure.

  2. Step 2

*Avoid exposure to the sun during peak hours, when UV Rays exposure is highest in the day. This is usually between 10A.M. & 3P.M.

  3. Step 3

*Apply sunscreen immediately after swimming or any activities that result in heavy perspiration. Better yet, sunscreen should be applied periodically throughout the day as a precaution.

  4. Step 4

*All sunscreen used for protection should be full or broad spectrum to filter out UVA & UVB rays of the sun. Check expiration dates printed on the bottle to make sure that the sunscreen hasn't expired.

  5. Step 5

*Avoid exposing children younger than 6 months of age to the harmful sun ray.

  6. Step 6

*If prone to burning frequently and easily, wear a hat and protective clothing when participating in outdoor activities. Redheads especially are particularly susceptible to sun damage.

Tips & Warnings
  • In addition to the following above, clients should regularly see a physician for checkups of the skin especially if any changes in skin color change, size, or shape of a mole are detected.
