There are two new words in the healthy-eating and weight-loss world. Those words are enzymes and probiotics, and eating a healthy diet requires a little of both.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Probiotic-rich foods
  • Nutritional supplements
  1. Step 1

Understand a probiotic, which is a healthy organism that lives in the digestive tract of humans. Increasing these organisms is thought to have beneficial health effects on the human body.

  2. Step 2

Get enough probiotics, which are measured in colony-forming units (CFUs). Depending on the advice of your doctor or the amount of support you want to provide your body, the probiotic levels used for supplementation range from 250 million CFUs to 2 billion CFUs or more.

  3. Step 3

Choose the food. Probiotics are alive. There is no way around it. When trying to increase your consumption of this living organism, it is important to consume a healthy source of probiotics that are healthy and safe. Many dairy products contain a lactobaccilus, or dairy organism, but the best choice for supplementation is often in capsule form.

  4. Step 4

Be aware of the interaction with enzymes. There are enzymes in certain foods that may prevent the probiotic organisms from adhering to the walls of the intestine. Different probiotics offer different suggestions for consumption. To lessen the interaction between probiotics and enzymes, choose a product that can be taken at bedtime without food.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consult a physician regarding the amount of probiotics you should consume.
