  2. Step 2

The album is located on the left-hand side. It contains your photos, videos, music, sound effects, transitions and titles. *Click on the vertical row of tabs on the left side of the Album to access the different media you want to use. In descending order, the tabs are: Video footage, Transitions, Still Images, Sound Effects and lastly the music section. When you click a tab, thumbnails of its contents will appear in the album window.*Any of these elements can be dragged from the album to the Movie Window so as to create your movie.

  3. Step 3

The Video Player is located on the right-hand side of the screen. You will use it to preview your movie as you create it. You can also use it to browse content from your album.

  4. Step 4

The Movie Window is located in the bottom half of the window, below The Album and the Video Player. It runs all the way across the screen from left to right. This is where you will compile and create your movie using the material from the Album. You will drag elements from the album and drop them here to create your movie.

  6. Step 1

Begin your project by importing the photos, video and music that you need for your movie. Go to the Album and navigate to the folder that contains your files. Do this by clicking on one of the three icons that are right above the Album window. *The first icon enables you to navigate up one level in your file directory*The second icon will open a file browser that you can use to navigate to the file you want*The third icon is the Media import button, which you can use to copy media files to your PC from an external device such as a digital camera.

Select the folder that contains the elements that you want to use. This will open its contents in the Album window. Click on each element you want to use, such as music, video, soundtrack - and then drag and drop it into the Movie Window. *Add transitions to create animated changes from one clip to the next, such as fades, dissolves and wipes. Open the Transitions section of the Album by clicking on the Transition tab. Select a transition you want to use, and drag it into position in the movie Window, next to or between any still image or video clip.*Soundtracks can be found in the Sound Effects section of the album.
