Just because pasta needs to be boiled, does not mean you can not cook a pasta dish in a skillet. The boiling process is the preparation, the skillet provides the end product.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Large skillet
  • Large Pot of Boiling Water
  • Pasta
  • Ground Meat
  • Pasta Sauce
  • Colander
  • Salt
  1. Step 1

    Cook the pasta. the pasta needs to be precooked in the boiling water. Place the desired amount of pasta into the boiling water and cook for 1/2 the total time suggested on the pasta package.

  2. Step 2

    Drain the pasta. After the pasta is half done, drain and set aside.

  3. Step 3

    Cook the meat. The ground meat can now be cooked in the skillet. The meat should be cooked to the point of almost done with about 2 to 3 minutes of cooking time left in preparation.

  4. Step 4

    Add the pasta. When the meat is almost done cooking, add the pasta to the skillet and cook for the last 2 to 3 minutes.

  5. Step 5

    Add pasta sauce and salt to taste. After the meat is finished cooking, add the pasta sauce and stir. This sauce can be a red sauce, white sauce or even a clam sauce depending on the dish you wish to serve.

Tips & Warnings
  • For a three step method you can add the pasta sauce, top with cheese and move the skillet to the oven for a quick bake.
  • NEVER overcook the pasta
