Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Identify what made you angry. When you are angry this is a signal that something is not going well. Usually we are being taken for granted, ignored or have lost something precious to us.
Step2
Anger is a feeling. Think about what you can do about the feeling of what started the anger. Talk it over with a close friend.
Step3
Get rid of the angry feeling in a better way. Go for a walk, exercise, scream into a pillow. Release the pent up energy naturally in a constructive safe way.
Step4
When the initial energy is gone, think of how you can constructively communicate to the person or persons who brought on the angry feeling. Find a solution to the problem. In some cases this may not work, as in a situation with a boss. Talk it out with a friend or a therapist.
