Step 1
Example of keypadPush the left minus (-) button on the top of your keypad, just above the green "Send" key, and the "Messaging" screen will appear.

Now that you have located the "Messaging" screen, you are ready to begin texting. Select the first choice on the menu; it will be highlighted in color: "New Msg."

Press the big, blue circular "OK" button in the center of the phone to execute your choice. Then select #1 on the menu that appears, which is "TXT Message." Again, click "OK."

In the "Create TXT MSG" screen you will fill in the To: in line #1. If you are sending the same message to multiple phones, you can fill in the subsequent numbers as needed.

Click the "Add" (right minus) button in the lower right-hand screen. You can pull numbers from contacts, recent calls, groups or "To" contacts. It is a good idea to have emails and phone numbers stored in your contacts so you can pull them up by name and do not need to memorize a lot of data. Click "Done" when you have selected the desired number or email and the box is checked.

Step 6
If you do not have the number or email stored, you will need to enter it manually. If it is numbers, depress the lower left minus key to display "123," or if it is letters, click #2, "Word." For any symbols such as @, select #5 when it comes time to enter it and select the appropriate symbol. To back out of any screen, click the "CLR" button just below the "OK" button on your cell phone keypad.

Step 7
Fill in the "Text" box below the "To" field in the "Create TXT MSG" screen.

Click "Send" and you should see a (1) in your "Sent Messages" box and a confirmation.
