The price of gold is at an all time high. Round up all of your old gold jewelry that you don't wear or want and take to a few local jewelers for quotes on what they will pay for it. You also can check online for gold buyers, but you are not likely to find the best price. It's also risky to mail your gold through the mail.
Step2
If you're a clothing collector or a recreational shopper, round up your still in-style and clean clothing, put it on hangers and take to a resale shop. Most of them will also accept your in good condition shoes, purses, costume jewelry, sunglasses, belts and other accessories.
Step3
If you have nice home goods that you don't need or want, bring them to a resale shop that specializes in housewares. They will accept vases, tableware, tablecloths, bedding, dishes, furniture, small working appliances, rugs, lamps, holiday decorations, etc. Pretty much everything that is used in a home will be accepted if it's clean, current, and useful. You can earn money from doing resale, although it may take a month or two if it's on consignment and it has to sell before the store will pay you.
Step4
If you have high end designer clothing, housewares, or collectibles, put them up on Ebay. Ebay is much more user friendly than it used to be and you will be able to keep all of the money and not have to split it with the resale shops.
Step5
We all have stuff around our homes that we don't want or use any longer. Spending one weekend going though closets and drawers and making piles for resale shops, online auctions, or even for goodwill donations will pay off with quick cash or even tax write offs for donations. Selling your old gold is probably the biggest and quickest payoff by far.
Tips & Warnings
Take your things to a reputable resale shop thath as been around for awhile. Check online to see if there are any comments good or bad. Also, pick up your money as soon as possible in case they go out of business.
Be cautious with the at home gold selling parties, they have a reputation for taking advantage of the participants
Pawn shops also will not give you the best price for your gold jwelery or coins
