How to Throw a Rotating Back Punch

A rotating back punch is another technique you can use if you want a punch with maximum power. This is a high impact punch that uses both the centrifugal force of your body turning, as well as the explosiveness of the linear straight punch, in order to maximize power and effectiveness.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Some martial arts experience recommended
  1. Step 1

    Turn your body to the side with both feet facing in the same direction to the side. Look towards your target.

  2. Step 2

    Turn your body and shift your front foot to the side until it is facing your target.

  3. Step 3

    Rotate your hips with as much speed and aggressiveness as possible.

  4. Step 4

    Execute a back punch simultaneously with the turning of your body.

  5. Step 5

    Return your back hand to the original position.

Tips & Warnings
  • Attempt to punch through your target in order to make sure that you follow through
  • Make a proper fist when executing this technique.
  • Keep your hands up in case your imaginary opponent might attempt to strike you
