A lot of the speed and power found in an attack is generated by quick lunges. Lunges allow you to close the distance between yourself and your opponent.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Some martial arts experience recommended
  1. Step 1

    Point your right foot to the side and point your front foot forward.

  2. Step 2

    Shift most of your weight on your back leg and remain on the ball of your front foot.

  3. Step 3

    Hold both hands up and keep your back arm somewhat loose.

  4. Step 4

    Step forward with your front foot, shifting all your weight on to your front leg.

  5. Step 5

    While simultaneously stepping forward with your front foot, execute a straight punch with your back hand.

  6. Step 6

    Return your back fist to the original position.

Tips & Warnings
  • Bend your knees to increase balance
  • Tighten your fist right before impacting your target
  • Rotate your hips and turn your entire body while executing this technique
  • Make sure you form a proper fist when executing this technique
  • Keep yourself covered up and prepare for counterattacks
