Hair that is dry from chemicals, weather, and daily styling. Do a deep conditioning treatment at home for a fraction of the price that a salon charges.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • shower cap or small trash bag
  • hair conditioner that is designed for conditioning to treat damaged hair
  • Blow dyer
  1. Step 1

    wash hair as usual. Leave hair damp not wet. This is so hair is ready to accept moisture.

  2. Step 2

    Using the conditioner that is designed to add moisture to your hair work it through. Conditioner does not need to caked on the hair just provide enough conditioner so that hair has a slimy feel.

  3. Step 3

    Place shower cap or small trash bag over hair and push out the air left in the bag. If using a small trash bag just twist the extra bag and hold with a clip.

  4. Step 4

    Heat Bag with blow dryer. Setting should be as warm as you can stand it. Warm up the hair until you can feel the warmth on the scalp. Let hair cool for 5 minutes.

  5. Step 5

    Repeat step above 3 times.

  6. Step 6

    Remove bag from hair and rinse hair until all conditioner removed.

Tips & Warnings
  • Spend a few dollars on the quality of product.
  • Hair will most likely be hard to style right after because hair will slide right through irons and brushes.
  • Only you can determine how often your hair needs deep conditioning.

on 5/30/2008 I often wondered if I could use a hand dryer for conditioning. I'm not ready to spend the $$ on the sit under or bonnet ones.
