Instructions

  1. How to Do an Egg Drop

    • 1

Split up all the materials amongst the groups of participants. Also give each group a raw egg.

    • 2

At this point, each group must create a container to hold the egg. The egg must be able to survive a long drop.

    • 3

To achieve this, the groups must insulate and pad the egg inside a case, which can be made out of cardboard, paper bags, duct tape or whatever the group chooses. One of the objects of the activity is to challenge the participants to create a container that will withstand a long fall and keep the egg intact.

    • 4

Once each group has finished making their contraptions, pick a tall spot to drop them from, such as a roof or the top of a ladder.

    • 5

Once the contraptions have been dropped, allow each group to open them and see if the eggs are still intact. Every group that achieves this can be rewarded with a prize.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always take precautions when you're high off the ground to prevent falling.
