You don't have to defrost your fish before you cook it, and that's really helpful if you're in a hurry for a healthy dinner! There are a couple of ways to cook frozen fish directly from the freezer, choose the one that's right for you!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Frozen fish portions, such as tilapia, salmon, halibut,
  • Barbecue grill
  • Microwave
  • Electric grill
  • Aluminum foil
  • Seasonings
  • Microwave safe dish
  1. Step 1

Remove the fish from the freezer, and remove plastic wrap, if fish is individually wrapped.

  2. Step 2

Preheat the barbecue grill or the electric grill to medium high heat.

  3. Step 3

Cut a large piece of aluminum foil, for barbecuing, place the fish pieces on the foil and season to your taste. Wrap up the fish securely in the foil.

  4. Step 4

Place the packet directly on the barbecue grill, and grill until done, about 5-10 minutes for small pieces like tilapia, to about 15-20 for large pieces, like salmon.

  5. Step 5

Place the fish in a microwave safe bowl, for microwaving, season to taste and dot with butter. Cook about 5 minutes on high, depending on the type of fish.

  6. Step 6

For the electric grill, place the fish pieces directly on the grill, season to taste, close the cover, and grill about 5 to 10 minutes, over medium heat, depending on the size of the fish.
