How to Discover New Music Artists

I know I'm not the only one who gets discouraged by the fact that their favorite music artists haven't produced any new music in a while. So you have to discover new artists, which is easier than it seems at first.

• Internet
• Radio

1. Begin by making a list of your favorite music artists. If you need some help, look at your iPod or CD collection.
2. After you've determined whose music you would like to listen to more, make a separate list to determine what genres of music you like (ex. country, rock, punk, folk, etc).
3. Use the internet to access Yahoo radio. Begin by choosing an artist or station you think you would like. Then sit there and listen to songs. Any time you hear a song you like, write down the song name and singer. Yahoo makes it very easy to do this, providing all the information.
4. After you've created this list, you can try listening to other songs by the same artists. This will broaden your music interests and let you find new artists to listen to.
