Things You'll Need:
- Nair (regular or shower)
- Veet (regular or shower)
- Clean Washcloth
- Hand Towel
- 2 Bath Towels
- 3 to 10 minutes to leave product on depending on which you choose; Veet 3 to 6 minutes and Nair 3 to 5 minutes but you may leave on up to 10 minutes.
- Tucks pads to use immediatly afterwards (after your shower to reduce any swelling or bumps, it sounds disgusting but it works and makes your legs look amazing)
- Any oil/lotion to put on afterwards, I use CHI oil and it makes your legs look like glass it is expensive a 2 oz bottle is $8.00 and a 12 oz bottle is $22.00 but its worth it.
- For a less expensive lotion/oil use Oil of Olay Quench $3.97 for a 16 oz bottle with almost the same results
-
Step 1
All products with usage devices and my favorite teeny bikiniChoose your product Please remember these products are for men and women.
Nair Hair Remover for legs; they have a sensitive product and it is the only one of the Nair line of products that is safe for use on your bikini line, and underarms. There is even a product for your face it is called Nair for face (men this will take care of your shaving needs and women will work for unwanted facial hair but be careful if you leave it on too long it will chemically burn the skin off of your body. -
Step 2
My very hairy dry left leg (don't worry they were both equally hairy)Start with dry legs (even with the shower nair/veet) I wanted to find out who had the better product so I put Nair on my left leg and Veet on the right.
-
Step 3
Putting Nair on my leg, putting veet on is the same processBoth products recommend pouring product in hand and then smooth on a thick layer over the hair you want removed but DO NOT RUB IN. After all areas are covered wash your hands to make sure all product is removed for safety reasons (it could burn your skin if you forgot about it and you could rub it in your eyes)
-
Step 4
Me waiting patiently and it always takes me the full 10 minutesSet your timer
1st for 5 minutes and check with the tool for the Veet and the damp washcloth for the Nair. Check a small area and it will depend on the hair thickness and other factors. Then if it isn't ready then set your time for another 5 minutes and then it must be removed, leaving on any longer can cause severe irritation and worse. -
Step 5
Tool for removing VeetRemove the Veet with the tool included. Start with the small end around ankles and then applying a good amount of pressure use the large end of the tool to remove the other areas of the leg or where ever you have applied the product. Remove it at approx one inch increments till its all gone. Using either a sink or bowl fill halfway with hot water
-
Step 6
Using 2 tucks pads on each leg after a shower reduces irritationTucks pads for after your shower and the website recommends what I have written below for reduction of swelling and it will prevent any rashes or irritation. Rub 2 pads or more thats up to you it won't hurt but don't use less than 2. Make sure you let it air dry so while its drying I have something that must be done :)
As a moist compress-For soothing relief, fold pad and place in contact with irritated tissue. Leave in place for 5 to 15 minutes. Repeat as needed. -
Step 7
What your sink looks like after you remove the hair. While the tucks are drying we need to clean up a mess and it only takes about 2 minutes. The tool for the Veet needs to be cleaned with antibactierial soap and the washcloth needs to dry or just go ahead and wash it.
-
Step 8
What your sink look like now that its cleanNow that this is clean and sanitized you can use the tool next time and know that its clean. Also you know that your sink needed to be cleaned for many reasons. This is what it should look like now. Also your legs should be dry at this point.
-
Step 9
The look of glass on your legsNow that your legs are sexy and smooth and the bathroom is clean lets make them even more touchable and sexy. I use a product called "CHI" it is an oil used for hair and body and it is wonderful it will last all day and your legs look like glass it can get expensive. I usually grab a bottle at JC Penneys a small bottle is $8 and you can get a large for up to $36. But if you aren't looking to spend that then you can always go for what I also think looks great on legs and that is Oil of Olay Quench it runs around $5 to $7 for a 15 oz bottle. But if you are looking for the look of glass on your legs go get a the cheapest bottle of CHI you can find, look at any salon but I know for certain that JC Penneys sells it always and it is addictive.
