Things You'll Need:
- Baking Soda
- Purified Water
- Gentle Facial Cleanser
-
Step 1
© Anatoly Tiplyashin | Dreamstime.comAdd 5 teaspoons of Baking Soda to approximately 2 tablespoons of a gentle facial cleanser (I like Eucerin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser) or 2 tablespoons purified water. Mix thoroughly. The goal is to create a thick paste -so if your cleanser is thinner than what I use, feel free and add more Baking Soda to create the right the right consistency.
*If you have sensitive skin use less Baking Soda -
Step 2
Add a bit of the paste to your pre-moistened face-starting on your forehead. Massage lightly into the skin with a damp washcloth using circular motions. Next move to one cheek, the other cheek, nose, and finally the chin. You should be spending about 1 minute on each area. Add more paste as needed.
-
Step 3
© Anatoly Tiplyashin | Dreamstime.comWhen you have finished massaging the cleanser/Baking Soda mixture into your skin rinse your face thoroughly with tepid water. Pat dry. Don't rub your face dry as this can irritate skin and deprive it of the needed moisture it absorbs from water. Follow with your normal moisturizer.

on 12/5/2008 Another great tip-use baking soda once a week mixed with your shampoo to strip off build-up of products and add a little to bathwater to moisturize skin.
