Instructions

    • 1

Pour 1 to 1 1/2 cups of unsweetened almond milk or rice milk into the blender.

    • 2

Add 1/2 to 1 cup of frozen strawberries or other fruit. Using frozen fruit makes the shake cold, so you must add ice if you use fresh fruit instead. Put in half a banana or a bit of agave nectar if you want a little more sweetness.

    • 3

Add about 3 tablespoons freshly ground flaxseed meal. You can grind small portions in a mini coffee grinder and store it for a short time in the refrigerator.

    • 4

Add 1 or 1 1/2 scoops of your favorite protein powder, in any flavor. Whey protein is casein free and is a good choice.

    • 5

Pour in any optional ingredients that you want, such as a sugar-free green powder supplement, liquid aminos or probiotics.

    • 6

Puree all ingredients in the blender until smooth.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you aren't going to drink your shake right away, add a little ground vitamin C to prevent it from oxidizing and turning a darker color. Blend it into the shake in your blender.

  • for the best taste and most nutrients, drink right away

  • Drink it freshly made or it will oxidize
