How to Make Chewy Oatmeal Cookies

Things You’ll Need:

• 3/4 cup butter flavored Crisco
• 1-1/4 cups firmly packed light-brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/3 cup of milk
• 1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 3 cups of quick oats
• 1 cup all purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 cup of raisins
• 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

1. Heat oven to 375
   Grease baking sheets with Crisco
2. Combine Crisco, brown sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl.
   Beat at medium speed until well blended.
3. Combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon
   Mix into cream mixture at low speed just until blended
   Stir in raisins and nuts
4. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto baking sheets
5. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly browned
   Cool 2 minutes on baking sheets
   Remove cookies to cooling rack
