Scallions, also called green onions, have a much milder taste than traditional onions. Often cooked in Asian dishes, chopping a few scallions can add delicious flavor to almost any dish. Does this Spark an idea?

  • 1 bunch of scallions
  • knife
  • cutting board

Instructions

    • 1

      Rinse and dry scallions.

    • 2

      Place scallions on cutting board. Make sure you take 3 or 4 at a time for easy cutting.

    • 3

      Hold scallions firmly near the greenest end, and cut thinly starting with the white end.

    • 4

      Cut again for a finer cut.

Tips & Warnings

  • Top a salad with scallions for additional flavor.

  • Rub hands with lemons prior to chopping to eliminate onion flavor from sticking to your hands.

  • Hold fingers at least 2 inches from cutting area.
