Being married means following certain rules, both written and unwritten, that may not have been included in your wedding vows. In addition to loving your spouse in sickness and health, you will preserve your union with a loving manner and utmost respect. A few simple tips will help you behave in a marriage.

From Quick Guide: Save Your Marriage Today
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be faithful. Cheating on your spouse is definitely something you want to avoid. Also be faithful to your spouse's reputation by refraining from bad mouthing them to others.

  2. Step 2

Realize you are in a partnership. Hopefully it’s an equal one, which means both of you should contribute with ideas, chores and dealing with daily disasters.

  3. Step 3

Stop nagging. Nagging is ineffective and turns you into a shrew. Talking things out is a much better way to handle situations that upset you.

  4. Step 4

Show respect. This means letting your spouse know when you’ll be home, not belittling them in public and otherwise and listening.

  5. Step 5

Love. Remember you married your spouse for a reason, which was hopefully not their bank account and you can keep the love alive by doing something thoughtful every day.

Tips & Warnings
  • Treat your spouse as you’d want to be treated.
  • When a resentment crops up, talk it over immediately. Otherwise you will stew and fall into a cauldron of hate.
  • Don’t flirt or openly stare at others while you are out with your spouse.
  • Don’t disregard your spouse's ideas as stupid or unimportant.
