Step 1
Change diapers frequently to prevent skin contact with stool.

Rinse baby's skin with warm water during each diaper change. Wash with mild soap only after a bowel movement. Avoid diaper wipes. They may cause the rash to become worse.

Expose the baby's bottom to air as much as possible. Air circulation speeds healing.

Step 4
If the diaper rash does not improve within 3 days, contact your pediatrician.
