Honor a Deceased Parent at Your Wedding
Honor a Deceased Parent at Your Wedding

It's the happy day of your life! Unfortunately one or more of your parents isn't around to share in this day. Here are some ideas to honor them on your special day.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Momentos and pictures of your loved one
  • Flowers
  1. Step 1

Put a flower on their chair at the ceremony site.

  2. Step 2

Put a picture of your loved one in a nice frame and put it next to the cake on the cake table.

  3. Step 3

Wear a piece of your loved ones jewelry or a pin that they loved. If you don't share their taste, pin it on the bottom layer of your dress (if you're the bride) or on your shirt under your suit jacket (if your the groom).

  4. Step 4

Have the best man acknowledge your loved one during the toast with a short funny or sweet story.

  5. Step 5

Make one of your dinner options one of your loved ones favorite foods. Or make one of the cocktails a signature drink to them.
