Things You'll Need:
- hot water
- spray bottle
- wall paper removing solution
- scraper
- scarifying (scoring) tool
-
Step 1
Before soaking your walls down, try picking a corner of the wall paper and seeing if it will easily peel off. If the wall paper pulls off easily without damaging the wall continue to pull it off the wall.
-
Step 2
Some wall paper will separate and the top section will pull off easily and the backing will stick to the wall.
-
Step 3
For the remaining wall paper left on the wall use the scoring tool so that the wall paper solution can soak in.
-
Step 4
Mix the solution and hot water in the spray bottle. Gently soak the scored wall paper and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
-
Step 5
Use the scraper tool and pick a corner to gently start removing the wall paper.
-
Step 6
Depending on how properly the wall was prepared it may be difficult to remove all of the wall paper with out damaging the wall.
