The steps are easy to do to get the job you hoped for.

Things You'll Need:

  • notebook
  • phone book
  • pen
  • resume
  1. Step 1

    Ok, so you know the kind of job you want, or your ready for a change you have some or all of the skills necessary so get out your phone book

  2. Step 2

    go to the sections that interest you. Make a list of the places you would like to work for, whether it be you know who they are or they are close to home.

  3. Step 3

    Pick up your phone and start calling them. Ask to speak with the hiring manager or human resorces. Ask them if they are hiring at this time, whether they say yes or no, ask if you can email or mail them a resume. Get the name of the person to put attention to.

Tips & Warnings
  • this may sound crazy, but it has worked for my friends an I. it works better than going through the paper. Another good way is to go through Craigslist.com of course make sure the company is legit but there are some good ones there also.
  • if looking on craigs list make sure they are legit companies, if you cant find them on mapquest, better business bureau, phone book, internet,you can also check your state or county website to make sure they are registered. be careful
