How to Find the Best Dorms at Marshall University
Picking a dorm at a collegiate campus is no easy task. Consider Holderby Hall. This dormitory is unique in that it offers single-occupancy rooms, a rarity at large public colleges. Students that live at Holderby Hall experience a very private living situation in a single room that measure 11 x 15 feet. Holderby Hall features a laundry room on ever floor as well as clean community bathrooms. This dormitory is also co-educational, thus providing a more diverse living situation.

Look into Wellman Hall. This dormitory is also co-educational and features two different styles of living. Residents of Wellman Hall have the choice of either lining in a single- or double-occupancy room during their time residing in the building. The rooms are suite-style and each contains its own private bathroom. Wellman Hall is four stories tall and also features a rec room with air hockey and vending machines.

Check out Haymaker Hall. This dormitory is identical to Wellman Hall in terms of living arrangements (single- and double-occupancy rooms) and the fact that it is co-educational. Wellman Hall and Haymaker Hall are similar enough and nice enough that you could apply for both and be happy with whichever one you are assigned to live in. Haymaker Hall is staffed by a Resident Director and three Resident Advisors. Single rooms in this dormitory cost $3,348 per semester while double rooms cost $2,508 for the same time period.

The information about Holderby Hall is incorrect. There is not a laundry room on every floor. The laundry rooms are only located on odd numbered floors. Also, floors five through nine are girls' floors. The bathrooms are mostly clean, but the locks are often broken on stall doors, particularly in the male bathrooms. -
