You don’t have to consume alcohol to enjoy a refreshing Georgia Peach drink. By omitting the liqueur and adding a couple of healthy alternatives, you can sip on an icy drink that will bring visions of Southern plantations, open porches and magnolias to mind.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Peach nectar
  • Orange juice
  • Cranberry juice
  • Fresh peaches
  • Blender
  • Ice
  • Fresh mint sprig
  • Frosted glass tumbler
  1. Step 1

Frost the tumbler by placing in the freezer for an hour before you’re ready to use.

  2. Step 2

Measure out equal amounts of peach nectar and orange juice. For a single serving, use 1 cup of each and 1/2 cup of cranberry juice. Pour the liquid into a blender.

  3. Step 3

Peel and dice one fresh peach per serving. Although you can cut the peach into chunks and chop in a food processor in a pinch, the best texture comes from tiny diced pieces, approximately 1/4 inch in diameter.

  4. Step 4

Add one cup of cubed or crushed ice to liquid in the blender and blend until smooth.

  5. Step 5

Remove the frosted tumbler from the freezer and fill halfway with ice cubes.

  6. Step 6

Spoon diced peaches over the ice cubes in the frosted glass. Stir lightly to mix the peaches with the cubes.

  7. Step 7

Pour the blended juices over the cubes and the peaches in the frosted glass and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint. Serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings
  • The virgin version of the Georgia Peach drink is every bit as refreshing as the alcoholic one and with fewer calories, you can afford to have a second helping.
  • Sprinkle ground cinnamon on the top of the prepared drink to add flavor and pizazz.
  • If fresh peaches are not available, use frozen peaches.
