My name is Nicola and one of my hobbies is cooking and i will teach you on this Article how to make Tabouli that will be testy and Healthy.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Burghul
     
    Burghul

    1 cup of medium Burghul(cracked wheat)add 2 cups of water and let it to rest for 20 minutes before adding to it the other ingredients

  2. Step 2
    Tabouli Ingredients
     
    Tabouli Ingredients

    7 cups of finely chopped flat leaf Parsley

  3. Step 3
    Tabouli with Lettuce
     
    Tabouli with Lettuce

    7-8 finely chopped spring onions (with the green parts)

  4. Step 4
    Tabouli Bowl
     
    Tabouli Bowl

    1/2-3/4 cup of finely chopped fresh Mint leaf

  5. Step 5

    2-3 cucumbers(chopped for small cubes)

  6. Step 6

    1-2 Tomato (chopped for small cubes)

  7. Step 7

    Salt (upon your test)

  8. Step 8

    1/4 cup pure olive oil

  9. Step 9

    Decorate with lettuce leaf

  10. Step 10

    1/2 cup lemon juice

  11. Step 11

    Now that we have all the ingredients we are ready to take out the water from the burghul and start adding the parsley, mint, tomato cubes, cucumbers cubes, spring onions , lemon juice, olive oil. salt
    we mix all together and we serve it with the lettuce leaf as a sandwich or we just serve it on the plate.(bona petite) God Bless you all

Tips & Warnings
  • Wash the parsley leaf and the Mint leaf and let it dry for 20 minute
  • Before chopping the parsley leaf and the mint check carefully if there is no other unnecessary leaf

on 10/2/2008 Part of my heritage is from the middle east and this is the real thing. I have read another "recipe" for tabouli on this site but it was not. For anyone who wants authentic tabouli make this you will be happy.
