1
Purchase your glue. You can find the glue at hardware or arts and craft stores. Purchase glues and epoxies made specifically for metal application. Brands, such as UHU, Super Glue, LePage and J-B Weld, all offer special glues that bond metal to metal.

2
Prepare the metal surfaces before applying the glue. Roughen the sections of metal with sandpaper. This will help the glue bond the pieces of metal better.
-
3
Clean the metal surfaces. Scrape away any paint until the metal surface is exposed. Use a clean cloth or paper towel to wipe away any oil, grease, dirt or wax.
-
4
Apply the glue according to the manufacturer's instructions. For the best results, take care to mix the epoxies as instructed.

5
Secure the metal pieces together with a clamp. Allow the bond to set according to the manufacturer's suggestion. Most epoxies take 24 hours to cure. Don't use the pieces until the full amount of cure time has passed.
