1
Use the Internet. Monster.com is one of the most popular websites for job hunters. You can look for jobs based on salary level, city, keywords and professions that are somewhat connected. You can also post your resume and wait for companies and recruiting agencies to contact you directly. You will need to set up a free account in order to make the most of the website.

2
Contact a headhunter. They can help you find the best job according to your qualifications, experience and requests. Headhunters specialize in corporate and educational jobs but they can often work out a deal even in other arenas.

Look in newspapers and magazines. Start with major papers and then work your way down to the locals, but don’t stop there. Some organizations publish specialized publications or have open bulletin boards where you can check for openings in certain professions. If you belong to a special association, alumni group or organization, find out if they publish a job listing you can subscribe to.
-
4
Find out if there are job fairs in your area. They are often organized at colleges in order to attract recent graduates, but they may also be open to professionals in other levels and stages of their careers. Job fairs are sometimes also held in learning annexes, libraries and government offices. You may need to book an appointment in advance, as places may be limited, so find out the details as soon as you hear about the fair.

5
Network both online and off. Join sites such as Facebook and Linked, where headhunters have been known to contact people directly to offer them jobs. Also, maintain an active social network. When you meet new people, take their business cards. Even if they are in a different industry than yours, you never know who their friends and associates are.
