It's really easy to make this bird feeder, even kids can make it. Enjoy!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • one paper plate
  • one cup of peanut butter
  • a handful of birdseed
  • 4 24in. long pieces of yarn or string
  • one sq. foot of 1 in. thick wood
  • four small hooks
  • about three nails
  1. Step 1

Spread the peanut butter in the middle of the plate. Make sure the edges are clear so small birds can rest on it.

  2. Step 2

Sprinkle all the birdseed in the peanut butter and mix it. If there is too much peanut butter you can add more birdseed.

  3. Step 3

Punch four holes on the far sides of the plate: north, south, east, and west sides. Nail in the piece of wood to a fence or tree. Apply the four hooks on the bottom of the piece of wood.

  4. Step 4

Insert the four 24in. long pieces of string in the holes, and tie them to the hooks on the piece of wood. Make sure the hooks are on firmly so they don't fall.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try nailing the piece of wood from the other side of the fence!!!
  • If kids are making the bird feeder, it's important to have an adult around to help them.
  • This bird feeder is for small birds only, so big birds such as blue jay's will probably fall off or break the bird feeder.
