This article will help you in increasing the modem speed of your device. Increased modem speed will let you surf the internet faster and efficiently. Do read the article for the details.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • PC with inbuilt modem.
  1. Step 1

    Right Click My Computer -->

  2. Step 2

    Select Properties -->

  3. Step 3

    Select Device manager -->

  4. Step 4

    Select Ports --> (if you cant find any modem port, then directly go to modem) Go to your modem port -->

  5. Step 5

    Click on bits per second and change it to maximum -->

  6. Step 6

    Click Flow control and change it to none -->

  7. Step 7

    In ports --> Go to Advanced --> make sure Use FIFO buffers is checked --> and receive and transmit buffers should be on max.

    Thats it your modem speed is increased and now surf the internet with new speed.

Tips & Warnings
  • As the speed of the modem can also be increased through Registry but its not safe to edit the registry details if you are not a computer savvy because registry editing needs specialisation so dont edit theregistry details if you dont know to edit the same.
