Instructions

    • 1

Place an ice cube in the dented area of carpet. Let the ice melt, then blot up the moisture with a clean towel or paper towels. Scrape your fingers or a wide-tooth comb over the area to pop the fibers back up.

    • 2

Place a damp towel over the indentation. Set an iron to medium heat and let it warm up. Hold the hot iron a few inches above the towel for one or two minutes. Don't let the iron touch the towel or carpet, or it could cause a burn spot. Set the iron aside and let the area cool. Comb through the fibers with your fingers to fluff them up.

    • 3

Spray plain water on the indented spots. Set your hair dryer to its highest temperature. Turn on the dryer and let the hot air blow across the damp dents. Get the fibers to stand up by raking them with your fingers.

Tips & Warnings

  • Try these methods again if they don't work the first time. The second time may do the trick.

  • Don't pull too hard on the carpet, because you might snag it.
