How to Make Orange Pie

Orange pie is a ridiculously easy dessert to make. Making orange pie only requires a little mixing and a few store-bought ingredients and will result in a treat that will win rave reviews from your family and friends.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 16 oz. container sour cream
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2/3 cup powdered orange drink mix (like Tang)
  • 8 oz. container whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 ready to eat graham cracker pie crust
  • Medium sized mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • Large spoon

    Start Mixing

  1. Step 1

    Mix together 16 ounces sour cream, 1 can sweetened condensed milk, and 2/3 cup powdered orange drink mix in a mixing bowl. Stir with a large spoon until all ingredients are well combined.

  2. Step 2

    Pour sour cream, sweetened condensed milk, and powdered orange drink mixture over a ready to eat graham cracker crust.

  3. Step 3

    Use a spatula to spread the orange pie with 8 ounces of Cool Whip. Top pie with 1/2 cup chopped pecans.

  4. Step 4

    Place lid or plastic wrap on pie.

  5. Step 5

    Let orange pie chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Tips & Warnings
  • Feel free to substitute other ready to eat pie crusts for the graham cracker crust. A ready to eat vanilla wafer crust is delicious also.
