How to Clean Toilets
It is imperative to have clean toilets because they can harbor dangerous germs that can make you sick such as salmonella and E. coli. Household toilets should be cleaned once or twice a week depending on how many people use the toilet on a daily basis. Here are my instructions on how to clean toilets. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Use a toilet bowl cleaner with a bent applicator that allows you to get cleaner under the rim of the toilet to apply the cleaner to the toilet bowl. Allow this to sit for about 5 minutes. If your toilet cleaner has a strong smell, you may want to leave the room while you wait.

2
When you return to the toilet, you may notice that the toilet bowl looks sparkling clean. This does not mean you can flush the toilet and walk away. You now need to scrub the toilet with a toilet brush. Be sure to clean the entire bowl including the area under the rim of the toilet that you cannot see.

After you have cleaned the bowl of the toilet, you will want to spray down the rim, seat, and seat hardware of the toilet. Allow the cleaner to sit on the surface of the toilet while you clean the sides.
-
4
Spray down and wipe off the sides, front, and back of the toilet where germs may be hiding. You will also want to clean the floor around the toilet. Now you are ready to wipe off the seat, rim, and seat hardware of the toilet.
