How to Drink Brandy
The warmth you feel as you enjoy a snifter of smooth brandy can take the chill out of a bitter winter evening. Contrary to what has been portrayed for years as a life saving beverage carried in neck barrels by St. Bernards, brandy would actually kill a person suffering from hypothermia. The body, reheated before it is ready, will severely damage the heart and brain. But brandy in moderation does offer some health benefits. High in antioxidants, brandy can provide you with a daily recommended dose of vitamin C. The better the brandy, the stronger the benefits. The different varieties and flavors, make brandy definitely worth a taste. Does this Spark an idea?

I recommend that you do not serve good Brandy chilled or over ice. It loses a lot when you do that. It is best to serve it at room temperature or slightly warmer. You need a small sniffer (wine goblets are not sniffers!). You want to pour only about an ounce or two in the sniffer. A sniffer has a short stem and a wide base. This is so you can warm the brandy in your hand. Slowly swirl the brandy to release the aroma and smell it from time to time. The brandy should warm from your the warmth of your hand under the glass. The smell of brandy is great and has a positive affect on your mood. Then slowly sip the brandy and let it float over your tongue for a minute. The longer you keep it in your mouth the less of a bite it will have going down. But brandy isn't like whiskey, it doesn't have a strong bite so don't be a wuss. But remember to savor the aromas of your brandy with your sniffer, -
