How to Resurface a Concrete Driveway

Like many things around the house, water can wreck havoc on your driveway. Water that seeps and freezes in the cracks of your driveway will expand, worsening the problem. Things You'll Need
- Broom of leaf blower
- Wire brush
- One gallon of bleach
- Three gallons of water
- Hose
- Liquid elastomeric filler
- Two-inch putty knife
- Trowel
- Resurfacer
- Paddle mixer
- Cordless electric drill
- Paintbrush
- Squeegee
Instructions

Eliminate debris and plant material from the cracks. Use the wire brush for wider cracks and finish up with a broom or leaf blower.

Mix a gallon of bleach with 4 gallons of water.

Use scrub brush to lightly apply the bleach and water mixture.

Let the solution sit for 10 minutes.

Flush out the remainder of the cracks with a hose.

Fill the cracks with the liquid elastomeric filler. Move backwards while filling the cracks.

Flatten the filler with a putty knife. Spread the filler over the adjacent surface.

Fill the eroded areas with a pastey filler. Use a trower to smooth the filler.

Mix the resurfacer with the paddle mixer and cordless electric drill.

Use a paintbrush to apply the resurfacer around the edges of your driveway.

Apply the rest of the resurfacer using a squeegee.
