  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white corn syrup
  • 12 ounce jar of creamy peanut butter
  • 6 cups sugar-coated flake cereal
  • Large Dutch oven or saucepan
  • Measuring cup
  • Rubber spatula
  • Spoon
  • Soup spoon
  • Waxed Paper
  • Air tight container

    How to make Sugar Flake Cereal Candy

  1. Step 1

    Measure 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of white corn syrup into a large Dutch oven or saucepan. Put the pan on the stove and turn the heat on to medium high. Stir and cook until the sugar melts and it comes to a boil.

  2. Step 2

    Remove the pan from the stove. Stir in a 12 ounce jar of creamy peanut butter. Use a rubber spatula to get all the peanut butter from the jar. Stir to mix well.

  3. Step 3

    Measure 6 cups of sugar-coated flake cereal and add to the sugar and peanut butter mixture. Stir to mix well.

  4. Step 4

    Spread sheets of waxed paper on a counter or tabletop. Scoop up the cereal mixture with a soup spoon and drop onto the waxed paper. Let it cool and store in an air-tight container.
