Step1
First, create a dummy email account that you won’t use for anything important (like your phone bill). You will give it out to freebie sites who require email in order to receive samples or gifts, etc. These places WILL DEFINITELY sell your email address and the junk mail will never go away. Sign up with a free email server site like hotmail or yahoo.
Step2
Freebie sites mostly link you to one of two kinds of sites: the actual manufacturer of the product you are trying to get, or a third party company not at all related to the manufacturer.
Identify the type of site - If the URL contains the name of the brand, it is probably legitimate. Also, 3rd parties are required to post somewhere on the page (usually at the bottom in small print) that they are a 3rd party.
Don't waste your time requesting samples from the 3rd parties. They will take you through a maze of ads asking for you to sign-up for magazine subscriptions, cable, viagra, etc. and won't give you your sample until you spend some money with them. And sadly, even if you do fall for one of their ads, you still won't necessarily receive the sample you wanted.
Step3
You can find the same things on your own that you find at freebie sites. When manufacturers are making new products, like the newest Venus razor, etc., they will often give away free samples until they run out. The links on manufacturer pages are often called ‘samples’ or ‘promotions’.
Step4
Contests & More Freebies: Name a popular magazine and they probably have a few giveaways each month. Redbook, Cosmo, even Men’s Health, Shape, O, and Martha Stewart to name a few, allow you to go online and enter to win contests, vacations, or they'll give away 10,000 bottles of perfume to every entrant. It's cheaper than playing the lottery (it's free) but you'll still feel hope that you could win something big.
Check back every month for new things to win.
Step5
MyPoints.com: this is my all time favorite freebie site because you earn points like you would on a credit card, but you don't have to spend money. Sign-up with an email account and they'll send you daily emails for sites to visit, etc. You earn points for each place you visit, whether or not you spend money. You can also earn points by logging in at MyPoints then following their links to online shopping at places like GAP, Target, etc. For every dollar you spend, you earn points. When you redeem your points you choose gift cards from hundreds of nationwide stores, hotels, gas stations, airlines, or cash cards.
I have several dummy email accounts signed up with Mypoints so I earn points even quicker. I earn $10-$50 in Target cards each month. You also get points for referring new people to the site, or downloading it as your browser bar.
