Although marriage is no longer all it was once cracked up to be, it becomes burdensome when two people are disappointed with divorce, again, and again, and again. There is no definite way to tell if a second marriage will fail; however, looking out for a few red flags can be a serious benefit and can help prevent remarriage divorce.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Analytical Thinking
  • Logical and Statistical reasoning.

Step1
Divorced?

At this point, a person who has already been divorced has a higher likelihood of being divorced again even if they marry someone who has never been married before. The probability of a divorce occurring is now higher than that of a married couple who had never been divorced previously.
Step2
Both of you Divorced?

The probability is almost twice as high of a married couple getting a divorce if both parties where divorced previously from other marriages. The probability of a divorce occurring in this instance is higher than a marriage where only one person was previously divorced, and much higher than a marriage where neither persons where previously divorced. Median duration of a second marriage drops from around 7.9 years for men to 7.3 years, and from 7.9 years in females to 6.8 years.
Step3
Leave your old marriage for a new marriage?

The likelihood of a divorce occurring in a marriage where only one person leaves a previous marriage to start a new one is very high. NOTE: This one is not even statistics, it's just common sense.
Step4
Both of you leave old marriages for new marriage?

I don't need to tell you that in this scenario divorce is almost guaranteed. You have less than a five percent chance of staying married. A "Marriage" born out of infidelity will surely beget more infidelity.
