Step1
Losing weight and toning up requires not only watching what you eat, but the dreaded exercise. You can lose all the weight by dieting but chances are you will gain it all back and then some, unless you learn a healthy way to do it and maintain your weight control.
Step2
First thing you want to do is make a daily regimen to exercise at least thirty minutes a day. It can be a simple walk, bike right, or aerobics, Pilate's, yoga,, whatever gets your body moving. Dancing is a great way to move and it is fun while you are doing it. Swimming is another great all body work out and will cool you off at the same time.
Step3
Each day eat plenty of fruit and vegetables! When you are feeling hungry much on an apple, banana, berries, watermelon, or any other fruit you want or vegetables. Make sure you get your recommended five servings of fruits and vegetables in each day!
Step4
Drink lots and lots of water! This is a crucial part of not only losing weight but staying hydrated. Water also helps you to feel full, so when you are hungry the first thing you should do is drink a glass of water and then eat. Make sure you drink at least eight, eight ounce glasses of water or more a day. It helps to cleanse your body and is the best thing to drink to quench your thirst.
Step5
Stay away, far away, from any fried foods, starches, (most) desserts loaded with sugar and fat, gravy, or any other food you know is fattening or unhealthy. Also avoid fast food as much as possible! If you have to grab a quick bite to eat look at the leaner choices on the menus. Salads are always a good way to go as long as you do not get fried chicken on the top, try grilled chicken.
Step6
Reduce the amount of carbohydrates you consume. Carbs pack on the pounds! Once you cut back on them or just eat them in moderation, you will notice a change in your weight. Even fast food restaurants offer the option to make a burger or chicken sandwich with lettuce wraps instead of buns.
Step7
Eat four to five small meals a day withing three hours of each other rather then three larger meals a day. This helps your metabolism and helps you to not feel hungry throughout the day.
Step8
Include lean proteins in your meals like tuna, fish, chicken (not fried), meat (leaner cuts), and eggs. Include at least one of these proteins in your meals a day to ensure you get the proper protein in your diet.
Step9
Changing your diet and exercising is the best and most effective way to lose unwanted pounds and keep them off for good! Crash dieting will only help you lose the weight for a moment and then it will all come back on!

on 6/9/2008 Great article. Just imagine if we made all these changes to our lives on a long term outlook instead of waiting until the last minute. The world is full of thing we wish that we had done or planned for. The picture great idea. Put it on the dash of your car and tape it to the back of the cordless phone and I think that would cut down on the fast food.
