The world of mac & cheese is very vast but in my cooking experiences one of my best recipes I have learned came from my mom when I was very young. Have you ever wanted to make mac & cheese go just a little bit further? Well your in the right place!
First turn on the stove and add the 1/2 pound of ground beef to the fry pan. When the beef is cooked all the way drain out the grease into a container that you can throw away later when the grease is hardened.
Step2
Fill the pot with about 6 to 8 cups of water and bring the water to a boil. You can add a little bit of salt or vegetable oil to keep the macaroni from sticking Pour the uncooked macaroni into the boiling water and cook until the macaroni is done(5-7 min for most macaroni). Depending on the type of macaroni you have it might take longer.
Step3
Drain the macaroni and put it back into the pot you cooked it in. Add 1/4 cup milk and 1/4 cup of butter. (May vary by brand so check instructions for these amounts.) Add the cheese sauce in the pot and stir it all together until the macaroni is fully covered in cheese and there is no more powder in the pot.
Step4
Add the hamburger into the macaroni and mix it up. You now have a delicious meal that can feed a few more people or feed yourself for more than one meal.
Step5
(Optional Step) You can add 1/4 a jar/can of spaghetti sauce to stretch the macaroni even further. This gives it a unique taste that will satisfy your taste buds.
Tips & Warnings
You can vary the recipe to your taste.
Have fun!
Try not to put so much hamburger in that you have hamburger and mac & cheese

on 5/17/2008 This is one of my most favorite meals in the world. BUT I've never used the spaghetti sauce. Will have to try that.
