How to earn money in your spare time

Do you have a full-time job but want to make a little additional income to help pad your pockets? Are you trying to save for a vacation or a purchase and just need a little extra short-term income? There are some great ways to make a little extra money for both the short-term and long-term. While you won't become rich from it, you can certainly supplement your income in several ways. If you can work from home, even part-time, you can add additional income to your budget.

1. Consider your hobbies. Are you a scrapbooking pro? Do you like to make gift baskets? Can you make beautiful wedding invitations? Do you sew? Offer your services online on sites like Craigslist and there is a good possibility someone is looking for your services. Working from home part time is a possibility if you have a valid skill or expertise that you can get others to pay you for.

2. Set up a PayPal account in order to be paid. This is the easiest and most convenient way to be paid and will eliminate much of the hassle. Anyone with a checking account or credit card and an email address can pay or receive payment through PayPal.

3. Craft a contract. There are many examples of simple contracts on the Internet. Just make sure you cover yourself and your client so that there are no misunderstandings. The contract does not need to be a multi-page document with tons of legalese, but it should outline the terms of the agreement as far as time to complete, pricing, number of edits or changes, what to do in the event of dissatisfaction with service or product, and payment and deposit terms.
