Yahoo mail is wonderful and free web-based email system, used by millions of people. Here's how to change your settings for either HTML or plain-text viewing.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Log in to your Yahoo! email account.

  2. Step 2

    Click the OPTIONS tab, which is generally in the upper right hand corner of your screen. If there is more than one option available, choose MAIL OPTIONS.

  3. Step 3

    Once in MAIL OPTIONS, click on GENERAL PREFERENCES.

  4. Step 4

    Under GENERAL PREFERENCES, you'll see the COMPOSING E-EMAILS option. Click the buttons to switch between HTML and plain-text.

on 12/8/2008 I have tried several times to click on the "Switch to HTML" button, but STILL nothing happens, despite downloading a new Java Script or new IE. What am I doing WRONG??

on 5/16/2008 Thank you! I had no idea I could do that, and in html mode I would get tons of X'd out images. I'm gonna switch to plain text now!
