Crimp beads aid in holding your finished jewelry project together. They are used with clasps, beads or jumprings. With a few simple steps, crimp beads can finish your bracelet, necklace or earrings and they'll be ready to wear in no time.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Jewelry pliers
  • Crimp cover
  • Beading wire
  1. Step 1

Gather your beading project together in your work area. Get out a few crimp beads.

  2. Step 2

String the beading wire, thread or string through the hole in the crimp bead. Form a loop with your thread by running the string halfway through.

  3. Step 3

Put the crimp bead near the place that you want it. Put it near the clasp, bead or jump spring or wherever you are using the crimp bead.

  4. Step 4

Squeeze the crimp bead shut with your pliers. Make sure you do not squeeze your pliers too hard or it will split the crimp bead in half. When you are finished, you may put a crimp cover over for a more stylish finish.
