How to Use an Ice Pick for Deicing a Driveway
Snow and ice packed down on top of each other can require drastic measures to remove quickly. An ice pick is sometimes the only tool with which to implement a satisfactory outcome. Be warned: You have to be fit to do this job. If you're up for the challenge, don your gloves and boots, grab an ice pick, and head outside. Does this Spark an idea?

Start swinging the ice pick at one corner of the driveway. Make sure you are not standing on the icepack. It may take several swings just to get down to the bottom of the icepack.

Chip the snow and ice away. Clear it out of the way as you work. Use the ice pick flat on the ground to drag the snow and ice off to the side.

Take plenty of hot-drink breaks indoors, as this task is absolutely exhausting and you may need to warm yourself next to a heater. Keep picking away at the icepack and clearing it to the side as you go.

Repeat Steps 1 through 3 until all the ice has been broken up and cleared to the side of the driveway.
