Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Party location
  • Invitations
  • Refreshments
  • Decorations (optional)
  • Paper and pencil
  • CD and CD player
  • Recording devices (optional)
  1. Step 1

Set a date and location for the anniversary party. Purchase invitations or make your own on a computer. Besides giving the date, time and location for the party, explain to the guests that gifts are not necessary, but what you would like them to bring is a song to share with the anniversary couple. This can be a song they play on an instrument or just sing, either solo or with other guests. Be sure to ask them to RSVP, so you know how much food to prepare.

  2. Step 2

Try to find a recording device, so you can record the evening for the anniversary couple. It doesn’t have to be a professional recording, just something that will make a special memento of their evening. Be sure to have someone in charge of the recording.

  3. Step 3

Prepare and set up the refreshments. Place chairs around the room and put up any decorations. Put some music on to play in the background for guests to listen to while they arrive and have refreshments.

  4. Step 4

As the guests arrive, ask if they have prepared a song and what-if anything-they need to perform. Be sure to include the anniversary couple, as they might have a special song they want to share. Have them sign a list for the order they want to play.

  5. Step 5

After everyone has arrived and had some refreshments, announce that it is time to present the evening’s special music. Mention that the evening will be recorded as a special memento gift for the anniversary couple. Go down the list of performers, announcing each person.

  6. Step 6

Arrange to make a copy of the music to give to the anniversary couple, along with a list of the performers and their songs.
